International Eyecare Center Expands Hannibal Offices with Construction of New Facility
Celebrating 25 years of business in Hannibal, International Eyecare Center has announced the construction of their new office complex. The new IEC facility will be located on Highway 61 North in Hannibal, adjacent to the current Main Street Eye Clinic. Upon completion, IEC and Main Street Eye Clinic will consolidate their respective practices into the new location. International Eyecare Center currently occupies space in the Steamboat Bend Shopping Center.
“The growth that we have experienced over the past few years has been exciting,” said Dr. Ken Mueller, Optometrist of International Eyecare Center in Hannibal. “With the acquisition of Main Street Eye Clinic (MSEC) and IEC’s continued growth, it was the perfect time to move forward and build offices that will allow us to consolidate the two practices, and also better serve our patients with expanded eye care services.”
International Eyecare Center’s new building will join IEC and MSEC into one facility which will offer an expanded optical dispensary, and Dry Eye treatment center. This new IEC location will have a combined staff of 23 employees, and 4 primary care doctors. Maas Construction will be the general contractor, and completion is scheduled for later in 2015.
Teresa Carter, President of International Eyecare Center stated, “IEC has been blessed with over 3 decades of growth. Since starting in Quincy, we have made it our mission to remain a local healthcare provider, with a regional presence. While we have expanded to 14 offices throughout Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri, our new Hannibal location will not only be state of the art, but will still offer the personalized care that our patients have enjoyed for 25 years.”
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 10am Tuesday April 21, and is open to the public.
