Kenneth R. Mueller, O.D.

EDUCATION: Dr. Kenneth R. Mueller earned his B.S. in Biology from Millikin University, graduating Magna cum laude as part of the prestigious James Millikin Scholars Honors Program. Dr. Mueller has been serving patient’s eye health care needs since receiving his Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University in 1990 where he earned recognition for his original research in the area of contact lenses.
Dr. Mueller has special interest in the treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and patients with low vision needs.
Following completion of clinical internships Dr. Mueller joined International Eyecare Center, practicing in the Hannibal, Missouri location. He is a member of the Contact Lens and Low Vision Sections of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Mueller has served on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Optometry Times journal, serves on the Governmental Affairs committee of the Missouri Optometric Association, and has lectured internationally on the topics of macular degeneration, technology, nutrition and the eye, and contact lenses.
Dr. Mueller is an avid bicyclist and is active in the community, being a past president of the Hannibal Rotary Club International. His interests also include architecture, art, gardening, and cooking, and he loves spending time with his wife, Lori, and his three children, Lauren, Gabe, and Grayson.
