 History of IEC
Dr. John McDougall started International Eyecare
Center, Inc. in 1981 after working for four years in
an ophthalmology setting in Quincy. Since that time,
IEC has expanded to include seven offices throughout
Illinois and Missouri. Dr. McDougall's flagship office
and IEC corporate offices are located in Quincy, Illinois.
His Quincy office is considered one of the largest
single optometric practices in the country. IEC was
awarded the "Regional Eyecare Practice of the
Year" awarded in 1997 by Eyecare Business Magazine.
